I was lucky enough to shoot these two for their wedding and engagement session. It was a beautiful engagement session in the fall at Lake Overholser in Yukon/Bethany area complete with a fall sunset!!
They even brought along their doggies for a few of the photos!!
Their wedding was a New Year wedding on Jan 2 at Noah's Event center in Oklahoma City. Her colors were purple and white!
Her hair was done by Lindsay Mingee and her make-up was done by Celina Marie Bernier
I stayed with the girls as they got ready and my amazing second shooter/assistant Hannah Dougan hung out with the guys!
Then it was time to say "I do".
The bride sweetly surprised the groom, and judging by the gasp in the room, half of the attendees by reciting her wedding vows in spanish. It's really hard to shoot a wedding with tears welling up and rolling down your cheeks. It was truly a sweet moment!
With the vows said, now it's time to kiss that bride!! They kept it short (and quick) and sweet!!
They're married!!! Now the fun starts…
My journey started with these two in the early part of 2014 with engagement images set before I attended 80's prom in downtown Tulsa. It was a fun day filled with photos at the Max Retropub during a crazy marathon of sorts and street party followed up by the 80's prom I attended and had a blast at.
Fast forward to 11/22/14 at the double tree hotel in downtown Tulsa. Everything actually ran smoothly, bride was cool and calm, everything was setting up as per schedule and the entire day ran smooth!!!
I first met Kim and Cisco at their engagement session and I knew right away we would get along great! They are both super laid back but appreciate a quirky, sarcastic sense of humor! Working with them for their engagement photos was a breeze, I could have happily kept shooting for another hour.
They were married on Nov 15th at Creekside Chapel in Edmond. It was a packed house! They had plenty of family and friends to support them and lots of absolutely adorable kiddos. During the process of getting ready, I witnessed absolutely no nerves from either side. Everyone was relaxed and ready to get started! They waited until the wedding to see each other and watching the look on his face was precious! Once the ceremony was done, the reception was in full swing! The dance floor was never empty and everyone was having a blast taking "selfless" and sharing hugs! We had a lot of fun taking photos that night. The bride and groom were such good sports, they even snuck out in the dark to get one final night shot. :)
This adorable couple was married on Nov 10th, the day before veterans day! They had a very fitting military theme of red, white and blue. They live out of state, but traveled to Oklahoma for the wedding to be near family. The first thing I noticed about this group was how close they all seemed. Everyone was very comfortable in their own skin and everyone had a job to help this ceremony pull together.
It was a small ceremony at the Grandison Inn in OKC located at 1200 North Shartel Avenue. The Bride, her grandmother and her aunt stayed in an upstairs room getting ready together while I took detail shots. Meanwhile the groom was downstairs helping and waiting.
They opted to do a first look and their family was so excited. They watched through windows and right off of the porch. It was truly a fun and supportive group and I had so much fun shooting this wedding for them!
